headsets

Featured Replies

hi, i hope this is the right zone of the forum to post this topic...I'm thinking about buying some headset to start flying in vatsim or ivao (haven't decided yet...) and i'd like some recommendations of good headsets to buy, with price bellow 100€... I'm thinking about the tritton ax 180, because they also work on the ps3 and i could use that... recommendations?

I'll move this to the general discussion. Other forum is for controllers only.Look at my sig: mine is just below 100€, it's really really good and I love it. Quality A+ IMO.

If you like your teeth to rattle and your heart to skip a beat when the PMDG MD11 engines are spooling up then get the Dr. Dre's ....mic be dammed. :-)But, if you need a mic and somthing that is comfortable and sounds good I can recommend something from Soundblaster - I use the Soundblaster Arena'sedit: Nevermind. The Soundblaster Arena does not work with Xbox or the PS3

I'll look at that, if they're good i'll buy them... i want a good headset with good microphone so i think the tritton won't be suited...

I am also looking for a good set of noise-cancelling (active) headphones, with a mic as well.

If your willing to pay 110€ you have the saitek pro flight headset wich is great, but i need something with a lower price, about 50€

Well, bought the PS3 wireless headset, happy to report it works well under Windows, Mac, and PS3 environments :)

Uhhh are you talking about Beats? Please! Those are horrible! Overpriced, "made in China", plastic, and they don't even have a microphone and the sound quality is mediocre. I don't get it why so many people at my school think it's fantastic.

We sell Beats.A customer once wanted to buy a really good headphones, and wasn't really against paying the price. He just wanted to *hear* the difference between 120€ AKG headphones and 200€ Beats.AKG blew Beats out of the water by far. Way clearer highs, Beats had midtones totally overdone, bass on the AKG was way nicer. Overall sound of the Beats was totally metallic. The only good thing about them: really good looks. Apart from that, I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole... and no mic.

I have a steelseries headset. It is very highquality and it always does a very good job on mids and highs.Bass is a bit iffy but for the most part, it does a nice job for just about everything.
