January 31, 201214 yr First of all, I have tried to search and post on the Ultimate Traffic forum. For some reason it tells me that I must be a member with permission to access even the FAQ's. I am a member, listed in the member list as "rhodges", logged in and in the member list it states for my last access, "active". I have all cookies enabled as instructed and have never been banned (never tried to post there until now). In fruistration, I came here where there will probably be more exposure anyway.I have the old 2007 FSX version of Ultimate Traffic installed and have always been happy with it. I see that there is a newer version, Ultimate Traffic II available which I have just downloaded. Is this a free upgrade from my old version, or a totally new purchase item? The Flight One Download page states: "Previous customers can get update to SP1 via the UT2 main program interface using the Update feature." However, I do not know if this applied to me and my old version of UTFSX or is addressing a earlier version of UT2.I really was not looking for a new version, but the way I got into this is that when flying on Jet Airway V12 between the Shark and Maggi waypoints inbound to the Dreamteam Honolulu Airport, PHNL, I get a crash to desktop every time 96 NM inbound. On the Dreamteam forum for PHNL there are a number of posts regarding this issue. One of the solutions was to disable GA aircraft and Jetway movement in UT2. I do not see how to do this with my version, so this brought on the consideration for UT2. However, I have found that just before reaching my 96 mile inbound locatiion, that if I will pause and move my traffic sliders full left in the FSX provisions that I can fly through this spot, then move the sliders back to their original positions and complete the flight with no problem.Respectfully:RTH
January 31, 201214 yr As best I recall, UT2 is sold as a separate product. It's a totally different way of doing AI traffic compared to the previous method, so no upgarde path. The mention of the update to SP1 for UT2 is for those that have the product. There's no in-line upgrade from UT to UT2.

January 31, 201214 yr Don't have UT2, but my understanding is that it injects AI traffic via simconnect, not as traffic bgl files. So I don't think the AI sliders would affect it at all.scott s..

However, UT2 does have its own menu for increasing/dercreasing traffic in 10% increments, clearing out the approach and switching AI traffic on and off. The best bit about UT2 is that Commercial aircraft use Jetways and correct routing as they should.
