February 3, 201214 yr Do you have PAKT mate? Included is a later version. Since installing Ketchikan I haven't reinstalled the Libs as per the normal practise. Mmm, I don't see how that helps actually. Or maybe it does, perhaps he's used something from the later Libs which haven't been released yet. They will be released sometime over the weekend....apparently. Edited February 3, 201214 yr by Ron Attwood The World is divided into two groups. February 4, 201214 yr Author Yes, me too. Installed perfect and I installed after it the libs 111207Yes but do you have the setting in your fsx.cfg file that alert you to possible missing library files or not. if you havent added that then you just would not know about it as FSX will not show that missing library files but it can come haunt you later with a CTD (not a definite, but a huge possibility as shown by that time with the missing library files at Vashon and the huge number of people that got CTD)remember that when not adding that entry to your FSX.cfg then you will think everything is OK, when in reality there is a problem. The entry I am talking about is under the [scenery] sectionMissingLibraryAlert=1Do you have PAKT mate? February 4, 201214 yr Hi Bliksimpie.I placed the entry you mentioned, which I wasn't aware of before, and I got such missing messages. I had to disable two sceneries, one freeware for an airport in Vancouver island, and the other this latest offering by Vlad.Even the latest Orbx libs that came out now didn't solve it for CEJ4
February 4, 201214 yr Author You dont have to completely disable CEJ4. the file that have the missing library object is called "ORBX_NRM_CEJ4_static_GA_PLC.bgl".Just go in the CEJ4 scenery folder and rename the file to "ORBX_NRM_CEJ4_static_GA_PLC.bgl.bak" (adding.bak at the end) this will deactivate the culprit file. In the whole CEJ4 you will not even notice the difference. it is a mere oil stain. This way you can still fly en enjoy CEJ4 but without an oil stain and with the added advantage that it will not create a possible CTD.The file can be find here for a standard windows 7 install:C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XORBXFTX_NAFTX_AA_CEJ4sceneryAhhh the freedom to just post this and help another flightsimmer makes me feel so good. Isn't it nice to have a great community here where such little things will not be frowned upon. :( Edited February 4, 201214 yr by bliksimpie
February 4, 201214 yr Hi BliksimpleThanks for that HU, but tried all your tips above to Naji, and I still get that ' Scenery library object not found' error as you can see from the attached screengrab despite adding that line to the Scenery section in the fsx.cfg; changing that .bgl filenameAny advice, please? Thanks Rick Almeida
February 4, 201214 yr Thanks BK. I followed your instructions to the letter. Just so I understand correctly, this error message comes up when the .blg file can't find the corresponding texture. Is that about it? Is that sloppy coding or one of those strange FSX anomolies?BTW, that was one of my favourite oil stains. I'll miss it dreadfully. The World is divided into two groups. ThanksBut you are not even at CEJ4. You still have Friday harbor selected.. so this missing library object is from another scenery and not CEJ4.. You will only get the CEJ4 missing library object after you have selected CEJ4 from the airports lists. So I am 100% sure this missing library object has absolute nothing to do with CEJ4. See also the GUID differ from my postings (see my pics and see the numbers differ). I suspect it is some scenery you installed that is in around friday harbour.. and according to my knowledge Friday harbor is very far away fromCEJ4, so FSX wouldn't even try and load CEJ4 scenery files. That will only be loaded once you inside about 150km from CEj4 depending on your FSX settings

So I did not even get a chance to load CEJ4.I followed you instructions for Naji, meticulously.I then undid the fsx.cfg entries you suggested and replaced the .bak file with the original, and at last managed to get FSX to fire up, with that default Trike at that default Friday Harbor without any error messages. February 4, 201214 yr Author The error you got has nothing to do with CEJ4. It just say there is a missing library object in your area around friday harbour. I dont know what other scenery you have installed in this area. to check if CEJ4 is correct after the FSX entry and the renaming of the CEJ4 file, you just need to click on OK once FSX is fired up and you get the message. If there are more then one you will also get a 2nd or a 3rd popup. you just need to click them till you get no more popups. Then you selct CEJ4 and then you should not get any popups. Remember you corrected CEJ4 entry. The fact that you renamed the CEJ4 file does not mean ALL your missing library objects will dissapear. only the missing library object at CEJ4 will dissapear. The one that you get at FSX startup around Friday harbour means you have there scenery in that area that is giving you trouble and you need to try and locate that error to correct that specific error. Remember the renaming of the CEJ4 file ONLY correct library errors for CEJ4.I really dont know how else to explain this to you, but be sure that your error is NOT related to CEJ4. If it was the GUID numbers would be the same as in my picture and will start with.. B95C... and 9FF8.... Your GUID number in your picture start with 0F53... That alone will tell you your issue is somewhere else and not related to CEJ4. The GUID codes is hardcoded per scenery object and everyone that will get error at CEJ4, the GUID number will ALWAYS be the same as mine starting with B95C.... and 9FF8......So to correct your issue you need to find out what scenery is in that immediate vicinity that you have installed and that error need to be resolved. he fact that you correct CEJ4 will not remove this one you displaying.
February 4, 201214 yr @bliksimpieThank you for that in-depth reply. Appreciated. Now you have given me some food for thought, but as I'm loading FSX without any error flags, I will leave it at that until I get to loading that CEJ4 scenery, and the take it from there. Rick Almeida
