April 14, 201214 yr Thanks for the reply. I run windows 7 64bit. I managed to fix the OOM issue by deleting my fsx.cfg and letting it rebuild itself. With fsx crashing on exit I nailed it down to having AI traffic on. As soon as I turn it off and exit fsx it doesnt crash. Weird? Thanks for your help. Gavin Price

Glad you were able to fix your problem except for the AI traffic. What AI traffic program do you have installed? The default or another freeware or commercial AI program. At least you have a clue as to what caused the problem. Best regards, Jim

I've since bought UT2 but am just running through my first flight with it now. Gavin Price
April 15, 201214 yr Check the FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery folder. MyTrafficX renames the default AI traffic by placing .passive at the end of the file (trafficAircraft.bgl). When you uninstalled it, it may not have renamed it back so FSX was looking for the AI file and couldn't find one. It shouldn't have caused a crash though. You just wouldn't have had any AI showing. I have MyTrafficX AND UT2 but like MyTrafficX better. Best regards, Jim
