Not really about the race (this year anyway) but thought I would give folks a heads up. This should be a great titlehttp://forum.avsim.net/topic/361760-secret-project-1-this-one-is-a-classic/

Hey, it looks like it would be a good propliner if we need one.. I'm not sure whats going to be the deal this year with corridor runs if we will have jets or not. Not like it matters, no way PMDG is getting this out in 10 days.. LOL :)

Even if it was released tomorrow and the white list rule didn't exist, it would be ineligible for the race. We're already past the two-week "point of no return" for aircraft availability in regards to eligibility for the race...Maybe next year....

Looks a beauty though :)

Nice to see that PMDG is finally starting to make some interesting stuff, however I do fear that compared to A2A's B377 this is going to be incredibly boring and uneventful to fly. Look great though. :)

I think you may be surprised at what a good job PMDG do on this project. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/361760-secret-project-1-this-one-is-a-classic/page__view__findpost__p__2251231It may not be accusim, but it will likely be quite good.

I'm sure it will be a very good model in every way, but here's the thing:

What I said specifically was that we are not going to model some of the "character driven" interactions ala Accusim. We understand that some folks like that sort of thing- and that it does add some game-play to the sim that isn't there otherwise, but it doesn't hit the realism bar we are looking for.
I'm one of the "folks who like that sort of thing" and I welcome a bit of gameplay to make my flights feel more purposeful. That's probably why my 747 only ever did regional flights.
