February 13, 201214 yr Unless you running two of the same vid card, your FSX.cfg maybe corrupted. Delete the config and let fsx rebuild a new one. Then copy any tweaks over. Backup the dud one of course. February 13, 201214 yr Why not just delete 4 lines in his old .cfg?Agreed. But sometimes it's not a terrible idea to delete and rebuild the fsx.cfg file. February 13, 201214 yr Two display entries does NOT mean it was broke. If he had graphical troubles in FSX, then it was broke. Many FSX users probably have the same situation, don't even know it, and have exactly NO problems running FSX.Maybe you can explain to us what exactly was broke!
February 13, 201214 yr I said Maybe corrupted. If I said your fsx is corrupted then that is quite a difference in the meaning. If I found two entries in my fsx config, I would rebuild a new one regardless, like everything to be in order, but that's me. Not like you not to read a post correctly Jim :) Two display entries does NOT mean it was broke.What does it mean then ? Could be a bad video driver install, could be a combination of things as explained by Nick @ simforums. It was Nick who stated that two graphic entries means the config is corrupted.If you have a different explanation, please feel free to share it, i'm all ears. February 13, 201214 yr I had this kind of problem with my system. Two entries with different settings. It created all kind of problem including blue band in the sky, twinkling of leaf tree but not evergreen tree, twinkling of alsphalt.I renamed fsx.cfg then let fsx rebuid a new one. Dont forget to redo all your settings afterward including aircraft realism and graphics settings.It solved all my problems at once. A line by line comparison of the two fsx.cfg files make me think that the double entry with different settings was causing the problem.I have two 580 in sli that drive 3 screens.
