February 18, 201214 yr Commercial Member ..also can try disabling scenery in the FSX checklist and try again, and maybe try another aircraft... Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 18, 201214 yr The first thing you need to do is go to the Event Viewer and see what the error message is. It will tell you what failed, let us know....
February 19, 201214 yr Author Error 2/17/2012 6:06:52 PM Application Error 1000 (100)Here is a jpg of the errors. I dont understand why those two airports. How I disable those files
February 19, 201214 yr Unfortunately you have the dreaded sim1.dll crash which was a known issue with conflicting textures and applications. There is a lot of information if you google sim1.dll crash. You may want to search to see if any of the scenarios apply to you and start troubleshooting from there.
February 22, 201214 yr Author Thanks Capt I haven't been able to fix it !!!!! I cannot find any topic on this issue. Maybe this info can bring new Ideas... I have UT2 and power pack, I dowaload a FP for Tampa Airlines (cargo) using power pack this started the problem. I also downloaded the FDEX FP, Fed Ex is woriking fine but 5 minutes at any of these two aiports the FSX Crash. Edited February 22, 201214 yr by puerto07111955
February 26, 201214 yr Start all over with FS and then add one thing at a time and go to those airports.
February 26, 201214 yr Any other suggestions???Start by disabling a scenery in your Scenery Library (remove the checkmark) until it stops. When the error stops you'll know the offending program is that caused your crash. Does this happen at every airport or just the one where it crashed?Best regards,Jim
February 28, 201214 yr Author Your question::::: Does this happen at every airport or just the one where it crashed?::::no :Only at KFLL and SKBO Hi Jim, Thank for your assistance. I went to the scenery library (removed the checkmark) but it is like finding a needle on a haig stack do you know or any one of any tool that may be a help tp find this corrupted file?
February 28, 201214 yr Moderator unfortunately this is a trial and error operation. Just be patient and you should be ablew to isolate the offending area. Have you tried disabloing or uniinstalling the power pak FP's? RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
February 29, 201214 yr I went to the scenery library (removed the checkmark) but it is like finding a needle on a haig stack do you know or any one of any tool that may be a help tp find this corrupted file?To avoid spending the rest of your life trying to find the ofending scenery,Disable the first half of your sceneries. LOOP: Do you still get the CTD? - If Yes: The bad scenery is still active, so disable one half of the remaining active sceneries and repeat (GoTo LOOP) - If No: The bad scenery is now disabled, so enable all the sceneries you just disabled in this pass and disable all the sceneries you justt enabled. Eventually you will only have one scenery left, and that will be the bad scenery. The number of times you will have to test (i.e. LOOP) is Log 2 (Number of Sceneries), so if you have 512 scenery entreis you will have to repeat the test 9 times (if 9 seems like a lot, its a lot less than 512!)This strategy is called a binary search.Cheers,- jahman.
February 29, 201214 yr Huh?I'd like to say I had to much fun in the 60's but I was born in the early 70's. Marc Lynn
