The temporary closing of the flight forum was the result of just the simple fact that there was a titanic amount of crap, pettiness, NDA violations and general abuse going on there! Nothing really constructive or useful was being posted.

+1 Exactly. A FORUM is a place where people can exchange ideas and have constructive conversations and disagreements; not attacking someone's intelligence because of simply having a differing opinion.

The bottom line is this... it's Tom's site, and he has the freedom to make and enforce any rules that he sees fit.It's our PRIVILEGE to be here. We should respect the rules, and act with common courtesy.
