I am looking into the Reality XP GNS530, if anyone has input into what is and what is not modeled. I fly a lot of smaller commuter props and I am looking for a good GPS instead of the default 500.

Download and try the garmin 530 simulator. It's what you get with the reality-xp in FS. It's very comprehensive. Its database however is not updatable and old. Also it's not always an easy retrofit into FS planes, especially if you use VC.What turboprops do you fly?

I fly the PMDG 1900C almost every day for a VA, and I spend a lot of time in the B200 by aeroworx. I only fly in the VC but I do bring up the 2d panels to use. I'm assuming that you mean the 530 simulator off of the garmin site?

Yes it's the simulator on Garmin's site. I love the Aeroworx bird as well, and I have the reality 530 installed in mine. The only problem is that it's impossible to have the 530 backlit in the VC at night. May I also suggest the Digital Aivation Cheyenne if you don't already fly and enjoy it.

I believe Reality's XP rendition of Garmin GNS530 is 100 % close to original in terms of functions. Big drawback is lack of nav updates. The only think will not be present in FSX is DR mode, since the GPS satelites are providing data all around the clock in our sim, and You will always have RAIM predictions to full scale.

In the ndwx.ini file are listed all the WX500 versions that are compatible. You must have one of those.In addition make sure ndwx.ini is in your FS9 folder.Here are the versions in my copy:[WX500_STD.5.2.0.0][WX500_STD.1.0.0.0][WX500_MEM.5.2.0.0][WX500_MEM.1.0.0.0]and those versions continue.If you have the NG 600/700 and the 800/900, then the the 600/700 panel has been aliased to the upgraded 800/900 version 1 panel. If not, the this condition "NG737=1.0.0.0" is not met.Finally the author stated that the gauge only was designed for the VC panel.cfg but it does show up in the 2D panels of the VC model choice.What that error line means is that a version comparison failed.What version of the WX500 do you have?
