Outerra

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Avsimmers,I don't know if any of you remember the game engine Outerra, searched for it here in the forums but could only find a thread from 2010. Anyways they have released a tech demo which can be found here: http://www.outerra.c...php?topic=637.0And i have to say it is awesome. Here is a video showing some features (although it's quite an old video and a lot has been improved)

Kind regards,

Stefan Matic.

I've been following Outerra for a while. Looks great, but sadly they've not been able to pair with a flight sim developer yet.

Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

Interresting. Do you knwo what happend to that?

Best regards, Steffen

Well, that looks interesting....I'm downloading the demo now just to see what it actually is.If they could somehow implement this as the base of an FS, then we could place all the add-on scenery we buy (ORBX, FlyTampa, REX, etc...)on top of it, I think we might have our FS11 (Flight is 10.2)

As has been said before, Outerra is not a currently viable flightsim engine

Its got good graphics and its own physics engine afaik however there are problems with it on some graphics cards and thats what makes it unusable...
