March 4, 201214 yr I am having a big problem deciding if I should get the Maule or not. The problems is twofold:1. I don't like taildraggers (I suck at landing them) but I would love to do some jobs. Almost ALL jobs are for the Maule...!2. I don't know (no one knows) when the next DLC will arrive. If I would know for certain the next batch of DLC would come in one or two weeks, I would forget about the Maule and wait. However, if the next DLC will take months, I would buy the Maule right away...I guess MS doesn't tell us about what kind of DLC is coming and when because they want us to buy everything and not wait for the next DLC... But this also works the other way around, obviously... Edited March 4, 201214 yr by Guest
March 4, 201214 yr I say go for it! I plan on doing the same.I keep seeing comments from folks on how well they did with the Maule. Don B
March 4, 201214 yr Yep, I will buy it, mainly for the jobs, and the joy of using the rough landing strips. When I played on earlier MS Flightsims, I loved the Alaskan area's for this reason. Hoping that they bring out an Alaskan DLC and water landings.
March 4, 201214 yr I say not now. Maybe if they fix AP...Just about 180k km2 of area, few navaids, no way to make your own livery. I think its a waste of money for just a few challenges and jobs. Just my opinion :) Edited March 4, 201214 yr by g_precentralis Lj. Prodanovic
March 4, 201214 yr I got it, I fly it most all the time, I love the jobs in flight so the Maule was the way to go. "It's ALL about Flying" i7-9700k @5ghz | 32gb Gskill Ripjaw 5 DDR4 3000 | Nvidia RTX 4080 | W10 Pro | Samsung 32" 4K TV | Virpil Throttle & Pedals | Winwing Stick
March 4, 201214 yr I don't like taildraggers because they are hard to land but I bought the Maule and I'm glad I did. I have been doing touch and go's with it trying to improve my landing skills. If you want to do the jobs it's necessary for most of them.
March 4, 201214 yr I don't like taildraggers (I suck at landing them)I suck at landing taildraggers too, but I find that the Maule is not that difficult. If you come in slow enough for landing so you can do a three-point landing, it keeps going surprisingly straight. At takeoff, applying power does not make it sway to the side strongly.I completely shred the Piper Cub in FSX as soon as there is the slightest crosswind, on every other landing. The Maule can be handled even by me ;-)
March 4, 201214 yr Saying that, the strategy of having most of the Jobs on the Maule, is a good one MS ;) Makes you have to buy it really.
March 4, 201214 yr Hi guys, I like the Maule, but I find this plane to be very twitchy, and sometimes difficult to land in moderately bad weather. The other planes seem to be more stable so I'm not sure what this could be. I've changed my dead zones for my Microsoft Sidewinder joystick to around 10% but I still find it difficult to control and land.Have any of you guys experianced this at all?Cheers,Dave.
March 4, 201214 yr I bought it just because it's only $15. Now, there may come a day when I can't or don't want to 'keep up' with the DLC - and I do hope that day comes, but for now $35 for the complete package is a great value and the Maule is part of it. Go for it.
March 4, 201214 yr IMO MS will release new DLC for sure not within 2-3 weeks but maybe around fall-winter or better to say around early 2013. Edited March 4, 201214 yr by Mark II
