I agree with the OP. No aircraft with a cockpit, downgraded scenery, no autopilot, GPS or ATC. Thanks MS you saved me some money. I'll use the money I saved to buy some add ons for X PLane. ,

Just load and program and fly. That sums it up for me. I have a Mac and I have XP 9 installed but after installing Flight I find that I no longer want to fly XP. I do need to boot to Windows to use Flight but it's still faster than setting up XP and I enjoy it so much more. Best flight sim since Flight Unlimited two.

My uncle lost his life at Pearl Harbor. Gone but not forgotten. The Zero was a very poor choice of aircraft to release with Hawaii. I wouldn't buy it even if it had a cockpit. Not sure if I will buy any additional DLC now.

Thanks Microsoft. You saved me a few bucks. If this is your idea of a quality product it looks like I will be saving more money in the future.

Sounds like me. I like what they have done so far but it remains to be seen if they will sell enough DLC to satisfy the suits. If they continue in the direction they are going now then I'll be happy.

i like Flight a lot but calling it the best simulator ever made available is a stretch. It may be the best for you and that's fine. Flight Unlimited 2 still holds that title for me. Happy flying

I love the Icon, fly it most of the time. Too bad they didn't include the flaps.

I think the moderator here is doing a great job. I spent some time yesterday on the other major sites looking at the Flight forums and most of them are almost completely negative. When I look at the posts here there are still a few negative ones but most are positive. I think a forum should be a place where you can come and share your experiences, ask questions and get tips without having to wade through endless posts about how bad the sim is. Good job Avsim, keep up the good work.

I think the Hawaii pack was priced about right. I've paid a lot more and got a lot less from expansion packs for other games. I'm very anti Microsoft so I don't think I could be classified as a ###### but I think they did a good job on this one.

The only way that I have found to play offline is to disable my internet connection. If there is no connection it loads and plays just fine.

After reading the posts on this forum I'm starting to feel very lucky. I didn't even know what Track IR was until I came here and I never purchased FSX so I just fire up Flight and enjoy the heck out of it. MS gave me a free game and I can't remember the last time that happened if ever. I feel sorry for all of the folks who are disappointed with Flight.

I running with bootcamp and everything works just fine. I have Windows 7 64 bit installed and flight runs very smooth. Late 2010 iMac.

I hope MS continues to develop Flight because I'm really enjoying it now. If they do it with add on packs rather than adding to the core game I will continue to enjoy it. They have everything in the core right now that I want. I really don't want them to add anything else to the core because any additions would require more processing power. They should make all of the packs stand alone and not require that you buy one pack before you can buy something else. If they added ATC and AI traffic I would skip that pack. If they added a 172 and all it required was the core game then I would buy that. Buy what you want and skip the stuff you don't want. Only time will tell how this is gong to play out.

That is a very nice piece of work. I actually saw that before I downloaded Flight and it's the main reason I decided to try it.

I'm going to go against the tide and say my favorite so far is the Icon. Easy to fly and landing on water gives you more places to land. The RV is also a lot of fun. I don't do well with the tail draggers.

Nice landing. I need to practice some more before I try that. I hope MS keeps adding little challenges like this one.

I love Flight just the way it is. It runs butter smooth on my mid range computer and does a good job of simulating flight. Great game included in the package. I will continue to buy DLC for it as long as they continue in the direction they are going. If they add all the things that you are asking for and the performance takes a big hit then they have lost me as a customer. You can't please everyone.

That's the joystick that I use and it works fine with Flight. Plug it in and try it and decide for yourself which one is better.

I selected the RV check ride challenge which looked like a routine fly around and land exercise. It started out that way. I really got a kick out of my instructor. Crusty old guy with lots of folksy sayings. After we took off he told me to do anything I wanted to so I was flying just above the treetops. He was quiet for a while and then said "You really like to fly low don't you. I won't spell out what happens near the end because If you haven't done this one yet it would spoil it. Lets just say that things got hairy and scary for a bit. When I finished I had a grin on my face and a great score. Don't know how that happened. Flight continues to amaze and delight me with all of the little things they put in the game.

There were a lot of disappointed folks out there when Flight was released and that disappointment turned into anger. Natural reaction. I think in a very short time that anger will fade and things will get back to normal. I already see a change here with almost all of the posts being positive. I love Flight but I never had FSX so I didn't try to compare the two. I might have felt differently if I had FSX and wanted MS to release a new version.

I haven't found a way to disable the Live log in. If you try to skip the log in screen it just keeps coming back until you log in. The only way I can play without logging in is to disable my internet connection. Then it displays an error message that you are not logged in and loads the game. I wish there was an option to disable it.
