March 20, 200422 yr Hi,Seeing as the libary is not being uploaded to at the moment, you may have missed these two great freeware twins1) Colomban Cricri mc-15 (cricket, I wonderfully wierd little twin, hear those two-stroke motors scream at 6000rpm ;), its got a nice 2D panel, aswell as a VC.You can get it here > http://www.simviation.com/menu.html2) Beechcraft Bonanza, by Eric Dantes, the author of the excellent freeware Twotter, a sweet little twin, great 2D and 3D panel.Get it here > www.francesim.comCheersDan.
March 20, 200422 yr Thanks Dan, was going to post about the Bonanza after flying it around earlier. Saw a post by Eric in the aircraft design forum about it and went and got it this morning. Neat aircraft and pretty cool detail (if only he had added opening doors to the FS9 Twin Otter updates)I'll have to check out the other now.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/PBTMCa.jpgCalVirAir International VACougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviation[link:www.cgrmthelos.com]Cougar Mountain Helicopters Best, Michael KDFW
March 20, 200422 yr Thanks for pointing these out :DFor those of us lacking in French, use this link for the Bonanza:http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ww...Flanguage_tools
March 22, 200422 yr HiThe Bonanza is great. However, when looking out the 2D window, ... my runways flash. Looking out the VC, or any of the external views ... the runways are fine.I only experience this with the Bonanza.Anyone else experiencing this?, .. or can think of a possible resolve?ThanksCheersTom
March 22, 200422 yr Hi,The only problem I get is when I switch the taxiway lights on in the VC, I get a wierd "thing" outside the windscreen, a shot would probably best show the problem, but I am at work at the moment ;).Dan.
March 22, 200422 yr Hi Tom,>Anyone else experiencing this?, I get that too, when I switch on the lights.>.. or can think of a possible resolve? No, I can only tell you, you're not alone with this.ByeOliver
March 23, 200422 yr The TWIN Bonanza by Eric Dantes is an excellent airplane. Eric always produces great work. Needs some better skins, but this airplane has a lot of payware type qualities and the VC is great. Eric always pushes me to fly airplanes I wouldnt have otherwise enjoyed. Robin is an example and his work with the Realair Siai Marchetti SF-260 is awesome. (always easy to tell...same pilot figure!)This is a little bit of a wierd airplane. I have never seen a plane with THREE abreast seating in a GA plane. Looks like stadium seating in a twin! Huge fuselage. Tires look a little big though. Probably correct though as Erics work is usually spot on.Eric J. AND
March 23, 200422 yr I have been looking at some pics and I tend to agree about the tires Eric. There is a twin B right here in PTC and I think the mains are slightly too big and the nosewheel is def a bit large. Also i think they could be a tad skinnier. Only other thing I think is the vetical stab looks a bit short. It does capture the "look" of this beast quite well though. I have been messing with it for the last two days and like it. Has a nice air file too.Hornit
