March 5, 201214 yr Seriously, the more I run Flight, the more amazed I am at the quality of the sounds they have in this title.Take off in the Stearman and hit the rudder whilst going down the runway and listed to those tires scrub, man sounds so realistic to me. Well not that I have ever been in a Stearman, much less under those circumstances, but I bet it is pretty close.I have a very good soundsytem anyways, and am very much enjoying the sounds in Flight - especially when the wife is away and I can really crank it up :P .The engine sounds, the change in sound with changes in mixture/prop rpm, in a nose dive, the wind, etc etc. Very nice. March 5, 201214 yr I am sure when I went flying very close to buildings and trees you can sense that the sound of the plane is reflecting off it. I just can not say for sure but it did sound like that. You get a split second sense that the sound has changed during that split second you pass a tree or an object.
March 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member I'm confused. I haven't tried Flight yet but some have said there are no more soundcones etc and slated it. From what I'm hearing here, the sounds are indeed good?
March 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member I have some Logitech G35 headsets (7.1) and a few nights ago I was descending from 10K in the Maule. I went a little too close to the VNE and my cabin started rattling. I LOOKED BEHIND ME instinctivly thinking my wife came into the room and was messing with stuff behind me. LOL! That didnt happen just once. It keeps happening. Once you get the Maule up to speed, she sounds like she's going to fall appart on you! Plus, put your flaps down too fast, your going to hear a LOT of wind noise. Kick the rudder hard on the Stearman, your ears will be pelted by wind. They did an amazing job with the sounds in Flight. It reminds me a lot of the new A2A add-on, accu-feel. I'm confused. I haven't tried Flight yet but some have said there are no more soundcones etc and slated it. From what I'm hearing here, the sounds are indeed good?I dont know were you heard that, but the sounds are EXCEPTIONAL. The sound codes do exist in Flight. The sound in FRONT of the aircraft is differant then the sound behind it. You can here the sound cones in my video quite well when I do the walk around on the RV6. March 5, 201214 yr Funny i read at Aerosoft that the sound wasn't that great either, but I am having no issues. I was tooling around in the Vans a few hours ago and wanted to cruise with the canopy open. I was amazed at the sound difference and had to close the canopy as the whipping wind and engine was killing my speakers, LOL. Best, Michael KDFW
