NGX ACARS Reading ASE or AS2012 Weather

Featured Replies

Hi to all.It would be nice to have an ACARS function that read the file from ASE or AS2012 named "current_wx_snapshot" like TOPCAT wich display´s the current airport weather reading from this file, and thus be able to see the current Metar from the CDU without using third programs.RegardsAlberto

When, or rather if, PMDG make a provision in SDK to create MCDU modules, we may see similar... I have used it in a homecockpit sim, and it is very nice feature.

It would also be nice for Active Sky be able to input the winds aloft information into the RTE DATA page just like an ACARS system.

Putting the average wind direction and speed into the PERF page during preflight is just as good, and that data is also available from ASE/AS20012
