FO for take off

Featured Replies

Am I being really stupid or is it not possible for the FO to conduct take off as on 747. Sometimes I like to sit back and let someone else do the work! Its so worth the wait though! Fantastic cherry on the delicious PMDG cake!Andy

AFAIK, you perform the TO...FO helps with flaps, gear, MCP settings, etc. Happy to be proven wrong, though. It is terrific, isn't it?

I'm with you on this missing option... It's shame, it was possible not only on 747 but too on the MD11, B767 and so on...Regards,Richard Portier

We'll bring the FO takeoffs back at some point probably... I removed them deliberately because too often the FO would crash the plane on take off and I'd get support emails like:"Bryan, I just spent 45 minutes setting up my mega complex inter-continental flight... and then the FO crashed the plane on takeoff!".When I can figure out a way to get the FO to fly the plane better by himself, especially in a crosswind, I'll bring the FO takoffs back.Cheers,

I understand your point of view Brian but why not leave the choice to the user in preventing the risk. I am pretty sure that everyone did not this problem, I had not.But of course, the people who do not have this issue do not write to tell :( , so ?Please if possible for an eventual update, could you reconsider your position ?This option IMO was participating in the immersion and "magic" of your previous products.Kinds Regards,Richard Portier
