I too found the tweaks to be useful and in changing them found the repeat line information. I had set one of my joystick buttons to return to default eyepoint and another to move eyepoint forward. It required many clicks of the button or reaching for the mouse wheel to move forward, so I inserted that line right after the "event" line for "move eyepoint forward" in my joystick .cfg file and now it zooms in at a moderate speed until I release the button. Better than reaching for the mouse wheel.

I did the exact same, have eyepoint movements mapped to a hat switch on my stick, added the repeat line and now I can easily move my eyepoint and stop it where I want it - I also mapped the reset eyepoint to another button the same stick as well , works great.
