Rockliffe,Changing the brightness isn't a simple operation, because it is in the code for each part of the 3d light cone. You may want to try turning off the light bloom in FSX.Scott.

bliksimpie, yes, those 'torches' are what I was referring too. This was never meant to look this way. If we can remedy this, we can put an update out so folks don't have to muck around with these files, and just do a 1-click operation. But this is not what we're seeing on our test computers here.
