Re installed FSX and it looks great

Featured Replies

I just reinstalled FSX and added only Bojotes Tweak and FSX is like a new sim. Should have done this some time ago, it made the world of difference.2012-3-9_20-43-0-466.jpg

I'd gotten so used to my replacement clouds that when I reinstalled, the default ones reminded me of something I'd seen on TV....20100201_the-simpsons.jpg

I never see the point of reinstalling FSX. Most of the time it won't fix anything. And the amount off add-ons (sceneries) you have installed doesn't lower framerate at all. It's about the add-on used at the particular moment. Now reinstall you're add-ons again and you'll be back to the fps you head before your last FSX installtion.

I think the OP meant the entire sim simply runs smoother, I did not see a reference to better FPS. I re-installed after the NGX release, following their FSX recommended install procedure.

I also completely reinstalled FSX to an folder outside of Programsx86 and it works really great now. Reinstalling IS an option before giving up!

Correct, it does run alot smoother. Also i have installed all my add on programs like REX and some sceneries. I was just saying that Bojotes Tweak was the only thing changed in the cfg file.
