Lost Save game

Featured Replies

Hi guys!I'm new in the forum, i'm posting because I wiped off all my progress in the latest format.I didn't know where the game save the progress and accordling with this post:http://forum.avsim.n...d-in-the-cloud/where some users reports that the progress is saved in the cloud, I wiped the disk, hoping my progress were be saved in the marketplace cloud profile. Without an %appdata% backup.Very bad idea.I formated, reinstalled Fsx and Flight, HawaiiPack, planes etc...Flight, at first connection to Live, downloads my profile, but the game starts with the first flight lessons. My progress seem to be vanished. Please, tell me I don't need to redo all mission (coconut bra etc)PleaseAntonello

You will have to do the missions over again, but your points, rank, and aerocaches should be the same... at least that was my experience a couple days ago when I got a new laptop and had to re-download...

:sad:What a bad news. Thanks for reply RichLP.Now, for the future, could be useful know how backup the progress.Maybe somebody could share own save game Big%20Grin.gif (without sharing the points and ranks that are stored with your profile).Yes, this is a cheat, but I wondering to use Flight like a Flight Simulator, just free to fly. I don't wanna redo all dummy missions. Really, I don't wanna do any mission!! :Hmmmph:Maybe backuping directory "%appdata%RoamingMicrosoftFlight" ?

Hi there,I contacted Ms support, this is the procedure for backup local save game:---Ms reply---Your saved data is found in:C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\PlayersThe folders you see in there are the various accounts that you have played Flight on, simply copy those to a USB drive and you will be good to go.Thanks,Loki, Microsoft Flight Team.---End Ms reply---Hope could be usefulByeAntonello

I am making it a habit to backup the entire player folder- the one with the folder name that consists of a sequence of numbers - on at least a weekly basis.Lot of info in there that can come in handy should one's get reset somehow - which has happened to more than a couple folks in here, for unexplained reasons.

Sorry, but bad news:Getting some other guys saved games won't spare you from having to redo at least the 2 startup missions. All mission info, airports landed, challenges and other stuff, are stored in your player files and those are tied to your gamertag. On the same track, I don't think copying some other guys Career files would work either, as if I understand correctly those files are somehow also tied to your gamertag and have associated hash files.

Yes I also think maybe complicated bring the save game from one to other account.I just redone a lot of mission, but i'm lazy and I don't find energy to redo all the gold ring/photography mission. Really, I love this approach, but once time only. I'm hope save the directory is sufficient, I'll test it on another computer before reformat next time.

You need to copy only the folder with a long number in..that won't help you, though, Ntnll :( Have you any fgood disk recovery softs? You could do that, but long time for perhaps no joy :-(bestjake
