  1. Hi everyone, I've recently installed Windows 8 and since then, I can't play Flight. When displaying 3D content (Hangar or flight), the graphics are completely messed up. I can't update the gpu drivers because my HP laptop can only work properly with its original drivers from 2010... I wonder if any of you had the same problem before, and if there's any solution. There's a screenshot attached, which shows one frame only (the lines and random polygons are different in every frame). Thanks!
  2. I'm just trying to login into Live, so the software asks for a key. I've tried following the instructions from this link, but they always provide me the same product key :\ I'll try to repeat the process with a clean install. Thanks again!
  3. Hey, everyone. Yesterday I had to reinstall Windows 7 on my PC. But now I'm having a little (big) problem using Flight. After installing it, when I try to login into Live I get a message that says the product key is already in use by another account. If I visit my profile in Games for Windows Live, I can only see this same product key, which the game says is already in use. Anyone now if this is a common problem? How am I supposed to find another key? Thanks.
  4. Eventually, they will release a "deluxe" aircraft. Whatever it is, it's going to bring a lot more hours of gameplay, with new challenges, instruments etc. Alaska is also coming. If you're not in a hurry, I'm sure Flight will provide some good fun in the future.
  5. It would be really useful for enjoying the scenery in Flight, since there wouldn't be a cockpit blocking your view :D
  6. But you can have fun with a Learjet, going from top to bottom of the island chain in less than an hour at 80ft! Anyway, if they can't deliver jets, I would settle with a Tu-114.
  7. Any chance of being something russian?
  8. If that thing had a cockpit I'd gladly buy it :D Looks fun to fly!
  9. Yeah, I do have some other games on Steam, so I like to keep them all in one place. I'm downloading it right now, let's see how it handles my saved progress.
  10. While we're at it, does anyone know if there is a way to "move" my current installation to Steam? Or if I download it again from Steam will I lose my missions progress?
  11. Try to approach while maintaining an altitude lower than the carrier itself, then pull up just when you get near it, let the airplane climb a bit and lose airspeed to about 40kts, it will stall and settle on the carrier almost vertically. And yes, don't forget to land with parking brakes set. I found it a little easier to approach from the side where the F-16 is.
  12. Yep, happened to me too when I installed Windows 8 preview..
  13. It seems that the Icon CAN climb to that altitude if you fly it backwards :D
  14. Someone has come up with a solution for that and posted in these forums, it seems that you can download and run in background a software called DXTory. It is intended for recording videos, but it also limits the frame rate of the game and makes it more stable or something like that. Try searching for "DXTory" here and see if you can find the post with the settings
  15. Nice topic. I hope the guys at Microsoft are reading these forums :)
  16. You know what's interesting? This topic is about the very same software that got such a negative review from IGN (and which many agree with). Seems like Flight is a perfect example of a "love it or hate it" thing. All I know is that I'm also in love with the game. :)
  17. It seems to me that the reviewer was just not in the mood. Sounded like a very emotional review.
  18. Is it necessary to setup anything on DXTory or just install it and open in background? Thanks
  19. Maybe if you crab a little to the centerline, then use the rudder at the last moment to align the aircraft
  20. Seems like you got the achievement of doing 432 consecutive aleron rolls!
  21. At least she thanked you.. The hawaiian photographer just said to me "ouch! do you always land like that?!".. So I made sure the next landing was buttery smooth, but all he said was something like "I'm sure my photos are great!"
  22. I really laughed with the "spoilers" going up on touchdown :LMAO:
  23. Yeah, some of those missions are quite immersive! Yesterday, one of the missions delivered a very tragic and touching story... One of a young scientist who dreamed of seeing a comet that would only pass near earth once, never to be seen again.. One night, she takes a ride on an airplane to go above the clouds and fulfill her dream, living the experience she had waited her entire life to live... She finally feels complete, and, by an irony of destiny, her plane crashes on the way back...
