March 20, 201214 yr Just completed my first flight and I see why there is so much enthusiasm for this add-on. It's absolutely magnificent and Bryan, you and the team are to be congratulated for FS2Crew for the NGX.My flight was 98% perfect, there were a couple of items that I need to query but they're probably down to something I did wrong:-1. The FO started each engine and ran the starter up but he didn't close the start lever at the appropriate N1 speed. They both got to 28% and I stepped in and closed them. Is it his job or mine?2. The FO had switched seat belts off when we were at cruise but he didn't switch them on during descent and they weren't mentioned in the check lists. Again, whose job is this, his or mine?Other than those two things the FO performed his duties.Oh and thanks to those guys here on the forum who persuaded me to buy this!Iain Smith
March 20, 201214 yr 1. You tell the FO you want to start the engine, he put the starters to GRD, for ground start. The engine spools-up and at 25% N2, you put the ignition on, wait 3 seconds and check that the fuel flow start going. When the engine reach 56% N2, the starter will automatically cut out and go to off position. The FO will say "Starter cut-out"2. You have to turn it on at appropriate altitude, and it is no feature to tell the FO to do it, like in older versions. Pontus Emanuelsson "You win again gravity!"
