March 26, 201214 yr Hi all. Let me first show my PC specs and FSX installed programs.PC: Win. Vista Home 32, 4GB RAM, NVidia GeForce GTX460, Intel Core 2Quad CPU.FSX Deluxe. Installed:Abacus World Extreme mesh (Plus U.S.A.)Full FSGenesis world mesh.GEXASE (ESE).Ultimate Terrain for U.S.A and Europe.REX.Ultimate Traffic 2.4 ORBX installs for N.West U.S.A.I think that covers about everything.The picture shows the problem. Although I do have reasonable PC and FSX setup, I have never been able to correct cliffs like this. Some say it's to do with terrain and Ultimate Terrain can fix it; also to do with water tiles but so far I cannot fix the problem.]Any good advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
March 26, 201214 yr welcome starrs! just wondering. if your problem is about FSX than you ended up in the wrong forum, a mod may move this to the FSX forum. other than that, it can be perfectly the case that the cliffs look like that in FSX. a reason why I like Flight so much :-) Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
March 26, 201214 yr Typical FSX cliff faces. Most look even worse. And look at that absolutely straight shore line...FSX does a lot of things well. This isn't one of them, unfortunately.Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
March 26, 201214 yr In the Aerosoft forum, when An Aerosoft flight simulator was still being discussed, I singled out this problem as one of the most desired fixes to any new sim. In FSX, any region with steep vertical drops will have this texture problem, and I am glad it was finally addressed in flight!The only real fix in FSX is Photo-scenery. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. March 26, 201214 yr Glad that FLIGHT actually did this right... As far as I know, this is just an FSX'ism.
