March 27, 201214 yr I've always liked the fact that FSX is not just a flight simulator, it's also a world simulator. Here are some high-altitude captures that make me feel I'm almost there.Hollywood, FloridaBaja California, Mexico...just south of MexicaliLands End, UKLong Island, New York...passing by JFKOverflying Havana, CubaSagres, PortugalNear Shreveport, LouisianaJust west of Belgrade, SerbiaWestern CubaJohn

March 27, 201214 yr Hi!That's a great range of places in the post. I live in the UK and am very happy with the photoreal scenery and airfields available for it so I can fly from my local airfield. That and the Orbx demos keep me well occupied. Many thanks,Pierre

March 27, 201214 yr Author Thanks, everyone. Glad you each found something to like. I find that agricultural areas and natural features look best in FS Altitude. Urban areas suffer from the low resolution and tend to look blurry. But once you get above 30,000 feet the views are generally good enough for me.John

March 28, 201214 yr Author No, Tristan, they don't. At least what they do provide is carefully color-matched so you don't get the patchy look that often occurs in other photoscenery when sections photographed at different times of the day or year abut.John
