March 27, 201214 yr Ok, just getting my feet wet and installed the Baytower into a dummy folder. It created all the folders. Then I merged these into P3D, but I get an error and shutdown of P3D. Then I noticed there was no trusted section in the p3d.cfg file. Was thinking that might be the problem but it could not be because no other gauge files etc are there for the stock aircraft.Anyone using the RV yet?Anyone have any ideas on what I could try?Why no [trusted] section? Does P3D just load the dll's regardless of trust?edit: I double checked the files from FSX and everything seems to be in the proper place. What could it be I wonder. The error was panel.dll or something from p3d.ThanksBob Officially retired
March 27, 201214 yr Bob, check your FSX dll.xml file for the actual dll loading and copy that into the p3d version of dll.xml. In FSX it shows up in both files; not so in P3D I don't thinkP3D trusts it all, it seems. No trust lines at all in my cfg file. Try commenting it out all together in the cfg file and see what happensjake JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
March 27, 201214 yr I seem to recall seeing something on the P3D forums about it not liking one of the panel components/instruments in the RV7 and the only solution for now was to disable it...You might want to check over there for details. Cheers! Iain
March 27, 201214 yr Author Jake and MrBenevolent,Thanks for chiming in. I will check on their forum. The error actually mentioned panel something, I dont remember.Bob Officially retired

March 29, 201214 yr Excellent - I'm very tempted to try out this plane if only to compare it to the RV in MS flight. How are your impressions? Have you tried both?
March 29, 201214 yr Excellent - I'm very tempted to try out this plane if only to compare it to the RV in MS flight. How are your impressions? Have you tried both?I like the model and VC of the Baytower version much more than the Flight RV...and of course it has full instrumentation and GPS etc. They both fly fine - the Flight version (as for all Flight planes) is more sensitive and reacts more strongly to wind than the FSX. Cheers! Iain
March 29, 201214 yr The Baytower RV is fantastic! Like the OP said later on, just edit out the GTX327 in the panel.cfg and you will be okay (you can just add // in front of the gauge lines).Comparing the Baytower RV to the Flight RV would be like comparing a Ferrari to a Ford Taurus, both work but one is much more refined (and has actual working components).
