March 29, 201214 yr Steve, is that his name?Anyway, Stevo is able to engage modes on the MCP but not set numbers. "Set altitude flight level 250" and he sets 5000, always lower for some reason and I have to scream at him to cancel last command and crack him over the back of the head with the Jepp binder. No reply from trying to have him set any other numbers in the other MCP windows. All other voice commands work very well and my voice is trained on the computer. Thanks Marc Lynn
March 30, 201214 yr I don't own FSX thus NGX and its FS2crew, but isn't it supposed to be "Set Flight Level xxxx"? Try to skip the "altitude". At least that is how the LVL D edition woks. Hope this helps
March 30, 201214 yr Commercial Member Yes, please check the "Voice Command" section in the manual. You need to use the proper syntax.Correct phrase for FL's is, for example:"SET FLIGHT LEVEL THREE THREE ZERO".Don't add an 'altitude' in there.Cheers, B. Hope this helpsYep, for altitudes below Transition Altitude say "set altitude five thousand". For Flight Levels, say "set Flight Level two five zero" It sounds like the FO is catching the "Altitude" and hearing "flight" as "five". For the others, verify you're speaking the commands as stated in the manual "Set Heading two five zero" for example. Steve Caffey
March 31, 201214 yr Author I am sorry, I was lazy and did not look it up before posting. I was sure to use the correct syntax as I had the user guide up and was reading strait from it when this was going on. I just may have not repeated it in my post correctly. I will try some more tommorow and see how it goes. So far so good on everything else and I cant tell you how increadable the voice is over all the button versions I have used in the past. Marc Lynn
