After using the search function (I'm probably not doing it right), I couldn't find a topic that talks about the best EGLL, I was wondering if someone could point out the best one available for Avsim. I will say I did notice EGLL Xtreme from UK2000, but the asterisk says it was developed for FS9, but works "ok" in FSX. The other one I noticed was Mega Airport London Heathrow on Aerosoft by SimWings, but it is older than 2008, from what I gathered reading the description. Anything else? Thanks!!!- Jeff

UK2000 EGLL Xtreme was developed for FSX solely I thought. Hence the X.In any case, I have it, and it does get my frames down a bit, but you've got a great system so it'll run fine. And it's awesome.And I don't have Aerosoft's, but most threads that I've seen comparing the two usually end up with UK2000 being favored more.

The FSX version of Heathrow from UK2000 is an updated FSX version and therefore very different from the older FS9 versions. In any case, there is a freebie demo version of it avalable from them if you are concerned about any potential issues. It may cause an FPS slowdown though, because after all, Heathrow is the third busiest airport in the world, and will probably go up higher in that rating this year because of the 2012 Olympics.UK2000 are by far the best developers of UK airport scenery. Check out Earth Simulations too, for a lot of cool UK scenery stuff.Al
