April 1, 201214 yr Hey guys,I fear what i´ve written in the heading: I fear that this SST program comming with my yoke might harm my system cause the last time I installed that program, it messed up my Saiitek X52 flight system. I pluged these things in and windows installed the driverson its own without and furter work and it worked great. But as I installed that programm from the CD (I was told so in the user guide), my rudder axis didn´t work anymore and also reverting to the generic windows drivers didn´t fix that so that I had to give that thing back. Now my Yoke and ruder pedals are working and I thought of installing that program to get more options for the button alligment. Can someone confirm that I´m wrong with my fear? April 1, 201214 yr Hi Stephen: you could probably do as you did before, just using the Windows drivers (not SST) - but use FSUIPC instead, and take advantage of the greater functionality and versatility of FSUIPC. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
April 1, 201214 yr I have Saitek's software installed with my X52pro and throttle quadrant and never had any problems. Also, CD probably contains some ancient version of SST, so I suggest you download the most recent from the company site.
April 2, 201214 yr I don't think there is any harm, as long as all the Saitek drivers are current. I used to use SST on my Win XP system, but when I did some testing when Vista x64 first came out I had problems so instead used the Windows drivers and fsuipc. When I went to win 7 I just stuck to this method. I don't know if you have some of the more recent Saitek stuff that I guess uses simconnect if that makes a difference. Don't know about the screen on the x52pro as I only have an x45 which doesn't have that feature.scott s..
