April 2, 201214 yr I am quite new to using a FMC, but quite enjoy the learning process.Everytime I go into the FMC IDENT page the message "NAV DATA OUT OF DATE" appears.Do I need to update? If so how?I only purchased PMDG 737NGX two weeks ago. From the IDENT page: NAV DATA: AIRAC-1108, ACTIVE: JUL28AUG24/11, OP PROGRAM 549849-011 (U10.8A).Appreciate any feed back
April 2, 201214 yr The navdata are provided by Navigraph. The NGX comes with a set of data that was up-to-date at the time of the availability of the NGX. To get actual navdata you need to set up an account at Navigraph. Each cycle costs 20 credits = 2 Euro.So either you ignore this message or you set up an account and buy a new AIRAC.BTW: If you have more addons using Navigraph data you have to buy each cycle only once! ------------------------ Regards, Otto Schäfer

They delete post's from people that do not abide by their ruling.Secondly, the navdata that comes with the program is basic. Unless you intend to fly 'on-line' there is no need to update. You will get as much information as you require using the navdata that comes with the initial program. Dave Taylor

April 3, 201214 yr A quick search will help you find posts that tell you how to stop the message from even appearing. Or, as suggested above, and as noted on page 23 of tutorial 2, just clear it with the CLR key. Herman Ross Seattle, USA
April 4, 201214 yr I've been just changing the date in the fmc_ident.txt file.. I've had to do it twice already since last August.. This is what I'm using right now.. As you can see, I'll need to change it again at the end of June.. You can paste that over your present text in that file, and the issue will runnoft. As long as I keep using the same FSX airport data, don't see much point in buying new data every cycle.. I'm cheap that way. :/ [ident] NavData=AIRAC-1201 OpProgram=JAN01JUN31/12 CoData=EAG-1108 You edit the 2nd line when you need to change it, so after Jul 1, I'll change it to show this, and I'll be good til the end of the year.. And so on.. [ident] NavData=AIRAC-1201 OpProgram=JUL01DEC31/12 CoData=EAG-1108 Mark Keith
