April 3, 201214 yr Well i still get a massive volume differencies in FO voice . It sounds like it is the same "voices" that is the problem, so not random. Its pretty much every respond from aproach briefing conversation(very light) , Pressure Selector Mode during Preflight (Very high)and a lot of others. Did not have this before SP1 so dont know what to do ? Did a reinstall with same effect. I have sounds from the FO in speakers (cant remember to get them in HS (HS does not work in configuration panel) and HeadsetDevice in Config. panel is set to Headset. I love the sound from the FO in speakers as i have Vatsim in Headset Thanks Michael Michael Moe
April 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hi Michael, The actual sound recordings recordings them are all generally equal. So something is happening hardware wise. Try this: If you find the FS2Crew volume seems to bounce around, try this setting via your Windows Control Panel... Select "Do Nothing". It seems having Skype, etc, running in the background can trigger this effect. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 4, 201214 yr Hello, I have the same voice level issue using a Creative USB Headset. It seems that there is something with 5+1 or 2+1 sounds like the sounds were redirected to the rear or front speaker. Location : FMEE
April 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hello, I have the same voice level issue using a Creative USB Headset. It seems that there is something with 5+1 or 2+1 sounds like the sounds were redirected to the rear or front speaker. Can you experiment and change your Audio Device so it only uses Stereo? B. April 4, 201214 yr Author I only use Stereo for main speakers (2) and i did the "do nothing " trick before posting so i dont know where to look Thanks Michael Michael Moe
April 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member Does anyone else have any suggestions? Try using these settings on your computer... this is what I have and it works. 1. Master Windows Volume full (100 percent). 2. Speaker Volume (knob on my speakers): 9 o'clock position. This give me a not too loud, not too quiet sound volume when using any Windows program. You may need to adjust your position. 3. FS2Crew VOL knob on the FS2Crew main panel: roughly the 9 o'clock position. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 5, 201214 yr Author Sorry did that allready before posting. I will try disable Ultimate Traffic 2 for a while because i have noticed that even when i have disabled default ATC because i am flying online it sometimes still gives me default ATC on some frequense. This behavior is causing NGX sounds to mute for about 15-30 seconds then they come back automatically. will try to see if it has an effect on FO sounds allthough i do not see a combination. Does Squawbox 4 do anything with the sounds maybe ? Thanks Michael Michael Moe
April 5, 201214 yr Author This morning it was "engine start levers" during Preflight check that had me off the chair :-) without UT2 Btw during Departurebriefing the Volume control in the main menu has no effect. is this correct ? /Michael Moe Michael Moe
April 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member Michael, I sent you an email. We'll do some tests together to figure out why why you get occasional volume spikes. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 6, 201214 yr Michael, I sent you an email. We'll do some tests together to figure out why why you get occasional volume spikes. Cheers, I experience the EXACT same thing with the F/O audio volume fluctuations. I have the "do nothing" box checked in regards to Windows automatic volume control as was earlier suggested. This did not solve the problem for me. While I have a Creative XFi Soundcard for my main Windows audio, I instead use a USB headset with FS2Crew. I have to manually switch my default audio device to the USB headset before using FSX/FS2Crew, so my Creative Sound should be altogether disabled and bypassed during simming sessions. The USB Headset I'm using is a Microsoft Lifechat 3000, if this has any relevance. Bryan, if you are able to find a solution for Mr. Moe, please share it here. Thank you.
April 6, 201214 yr Commercial Member I have to manually switch my default audio device to the USB headset before using FSX/FS2Crew This part I'm not sure what you're doing. You should be able to select your USB headset in the FS2Crew Config Panel. Then press HS. Most FO dialogue should then come through the headset. And other stuff, like the Jetway bell sound, should come through your main speakers. Something to try: Make sure your Master Windows sound volume is at 100 percent. B. April 6, 201214 yr It is at 100% for me, and the "do nothing" is checked. Still have different sound volume. Location : FMEE
April 6, 201214 yr Commercial Member Are you using EZDOK? If so, try disabling it. One guy I'm working with to help resolve this issue said EZDOK took control of his Windows sound system and appeared as a separate speaker.... :Hypnotized: :Hypnotized: But one of my beta testers, who has EZDOK, said he has no problems with volume spiking... Everything is normal. Gotta love computers  B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
