April 4, 201214 yr I'm finding some planes engines too loud. If I change the Engine volume slider then switch back to a different plane, I have to go back and change raise the volume back up again. Are there config file settings somewhere that one could edit to adjust each planes different sound volumes? Or a key bind that could change the Engine volume on the fly? I looked in a few cfg files but didn't see anything for this.

April 4, 201214 yr Author You need to open them in a wav editor program and adjust them. Audacity is free and will let you do what you want. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ I thought of that but I'm not sure if FSX shares the same wav files for several planes. Guess I can just backup them up then alter to try. Can I assume all the sounds used for each individual plane are referred to in each specific sound.cfg plane file or are there more files, like in the Effects folder, that get used? Accufeel volumes don't seem to work I know. I was really hoping this product would allow for all sound volume control but it doesn't. Maybe in Ver.2.0 it will. <shrug>
