April 6, 201214 yr If you can...dial up your weather program, fire up SHADE, and then get yourself right now (16:50 hours E.S.T.) on the runway at Ketchikan! Fabulous V.F.R. with slight cloud, and gobs of sunshine..... SHADE is really bringing out the mountain contrast today... Cloud shadows upon the ocean really nice... V.F.R. heaven..... Mitch
April 6, 201214 yr Mitch, if there was something like an enthusiasm award, you would have earned it, twice! No kidding. I will follow your paths though, so lets jump into my Katana and just explore again.
April 6, 201214 yr Author Mitch, if there was something like an enthusiasm award, you would have earned it, twice! No kidding. I will follow your paths though, so lets jump into my Katana and just explore again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just came back to correct my VRF to VFR... Yeah...I guess that I am guilty of the passion of flying. My wife and I are looking at this possibly after retirement. We have looked at some lakeside property in North Carolina, about 0-to 100 miles from the ocean. I fly the Carenado verion of the Cessna 6 passenger Stationair 6 v.II amphib quite a lot, and have been keeping track of it in real life on the Net. This is the only configuration that my wife will even THINK of flying in for G.A. aircraft. She needs the comfort level of being able to land practically anywhere along the flight path, should that be necessary. I like the 6 passenger layout as there will aways be full seats...(my kids...and their kids....) This has been a life-long dream, that I could only realize after a life-time of career, the ability to fund it. Well...back to 'Ketch' and the great VFR opportunity.... Here's the plane that we are interested in, and I fly from Carenado for FSX/FS9: http://www.flickr.co...rry/6079680597/ Mitch'er
April 6, 201214 yr Keep up that attitude, Mitch. Refreshing in many ways. You know, sometimes, when the forums focus on which plane is the best, people tend to forget about the actual flying. I often get lost in that vicious circle, that's why I know.
