Ezdok - Terrible view system
Thanks for your quick reply! I should have mentioned that I did double-check the FSX control settings to make sure that there were no conflicts. I do have the full FSUIPC and will double-check that as well, but I haven't touched it since it was installed and set up initially. I definitely have checked Google but could not find a similar issue. Also checked the EZDOK support link (I believe it is in SimForums.com) but no luck there, either. I think what messed things up was that I tried to install the "free" Windows 10 upgrade (currently running Win7) and it could not install and reverted back to Win7 but appears to have messed things up for EZDOK. It's the only change that I have attempted fairly recently. Thanks again!

Ezdok - Terrible view system
A quick question for you EZDOK experts. I somehow have lost the view switching capability via the joystick #2 button. It used to work fine but now it does nothing. When it worked, each press of the button would change from the VC view to an outside view of the aircraft, then a tower view and finally back to VC view. I tried uninstalling EZDOK/EZCA and reinstalling the latest version but no luck getting that function back. Also tried adding the button in the EZDOK interface but no cigar. I'm hoping there's a simple solution. Thanks!

Throttle Quadrant for Q400
Excellent looking gear but the price is surely prohibitive to 99.99% of flight simmers.

Time for a new FSX PC
FlyAndFight replied to FlyAndFight's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcThank you, Ryan! That was definitely my plan as well. The initial financial hit was brutal so I was trying to pick up the essentials first and then get the SSD and possibly a dedicated sound card later on.

Time for a new FSX PC
I wanted to thank my fellow members here at AVSIM for sharing their knowledge regarding hardware upgrade information. After spending some time reviewing several of the threads here in this section of AVSIM, I went ahead and took the plunge by ordering the following via New Egg: - CPU: i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz CPU - MB: ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Ranger - Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 - Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 I also purchased a hard-drive, Blu-ray drive, case, power supply, etc. to round off the new rig. The funds were not limitless so I did have to cut back on some things, like the graphics card and amount of memory, for example. But I'm hoping that the above will provide a very good FSX experience for quite some time. I would appreciate any input as well. Thanks again!

Anyone try Miami v3 from LatinVFR latest release?
I picked it up and I definitely see a difference with the sharper looking graphics as well as a small boost in FPS. I believe that cmpbellsjc is correct in regards to the draw calls, as I no longer get that "domino falling effect" of textures loading, as I used to in the previous version. That alone is worth the $10 bucks to me. With the previous version, I would also see some sections of the scenery disappear and reappear depending on which direction I was viewing. I tested it out at one of the locations (the American Eagle staging area) and no longer had that issue. Finally, I did a quick scan of the surrounding scenery and it's definitely been re-done. The photo scenery textures are sharper and cleaner and the autogen is more abundant, better detailed and better situated. I need to do more flights around the scenery and check out all of the changes but I highly recommend it.

LatinVFR Key West v2 FSX/P3D released
The lighting is definitely better than the original version. I do have Orbx lighting so that is adding to the scenery's lighting. (rather well, too.) I'll try to post some photos soon.

Need Help Finding Realistic Water Using FSX + DX10
I use Rex 4 textures and recently tried option 19, "photoreal", if not mistaken, and I liked the wave effects. I mostly fly around South Florida and the PNW and the ocean looks nice with this wave effect.

LatinVFR Key West v2 FSX/P3D released
Thanks for posting, Ricardo! An update or addon that includes the Dry Tortugas and Marathon would be great. And thank you for the KMIA update to come. The current version covers an amazing amount of area and I love that you included the surrounding areas. It really makes the flights in and out of KMIA that much more realistic. My only problem is with the shimmers and hit in frame rate but that should be resolved with the update. Thanks again!

LatinVFR Key West v2 FSX/P3D released
Very nice update. Everything just looks more polished. I no longer get the flickering as well. Also, framerates appeared higher for me. I'm running Steves DX10 Fixer and everything looks great. I did notice that they removed the sound effects, such as the airplane flying overhead and city noises, if not mistaken. Also noticed considerably less boats and wakes in the photo-gen waters. That looks much nicer. I flew all the way over to the Marquesas and loved the water in the area. I was hoping that they had continued westward and added the Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson but unfortunately they didn't extend that far West. Hopefully in an update?? Any chance KMIA gets a similar update in the near future??

LatinVFR Key West v2 FSX/P3D released
My mistake. It was KMIA that was V2. That one was from a couple of years ago.

Carenado Navajo....bought it.
I bit the bullet yesterday and picked up the Navajo. I only took it for a very short hop and liked what I saw. Perhaps not a study-sim airplane but it provided the right type of immersion, which is all I'm asking from it.
