April 7, 201214 yr So what is the fastest that you have ever flown in Microsoft Flight? My personal record probably:- 766 kts. after a climb to 37,000 feet Great fun game, and it is super, super beautiful at high altitudes. Brings a whole other element into the game, especially when you start fiddling with weather settings it can start looking absolutely stunning at times. Mike
April 8, 201214 yr I know I can fly fast but, I guess I never really tried to shoot for high speed dives. I'll give it a try and see what I can come up with. Nathan Cupps, VZAB Instructor
April 8, 201214 yr I recorded 711 kts in a power dive over Mauna Loa from 38,100 ft. Miraculously, I was able to smoothly pull out of this dive without my control surfaces freezing in supersonic shockwave nor my wings catastrophically detaching. I recorded no adverse physiological effect from the recorded 43 positive Gs. Elsewhere in the game I seem to have recorded 45 reverse kts and 43 negative Gs. The flight time inverted and backward in the illustration are legitimate and were intentional. Therefore, I take my "fastest forward speed" with a grain of salt. But gee, isn't this fun ?
April 8, 201214 yr 764 kts. diving with the Mustang! With just a little thought, it is easy to understand why damage modeling is not included in Flight, nor in the last few versions of FS. Although, clearly, the devs do agree with many in the community and wanted to have that possibility, which is why they included hooks in FS for those who wish to model that aspect of flight (non-flight!). Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!

April 10, 201214 yr That must have taken a while, how high did you fly to? I just used a hacked flight plan. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
April 10, 201214 yr umm... Here: http://www.fs2000.org/index.php/downloads/miscellaneous/doc_details/34260-microsoft-flight-curvature-of-the-earth Just spin wildly either left to right an you'll earn stuff. Maybe end up in outer space. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
April 10, 201214 yr Ah nothing like a good ole hacked flight plan. Now I guess we know how that other fella posted a screenshot at over 80K plus ft. I myself think I will pass on that one... Don B
