April 9, 201214 yr Is there any way that one can change the default VC view height? I bought the Feelthere ERJ 135/145/145XR package yesterday and I'm loving it so far, but only one little gripe, I have to press shift and enter a few times when I'm coming in for the landing since the cockpit blocks most of the view when I get into the flare, so in my first few attempts I was gliding along the runway with no vision of it hoping I touched down on the centerline. The 737NGX seems to have nailed this as I can flare perfectly in it and not lose sight of the runway whatsoever, so I'm trying to see if I can edit something in the fsx.cfg or in the aircraft file to make it so that the default VC view is only a couple of inches higher. The eyepoint settings in the aircraft.cfg file correspond to the shift-enter settings in the sim. Try increasing the third (last) variable. Bert
April 10, 201214 yr Bert has the least costly fix, but you could get EZCA, and create a second camera along with a hotkey. This also has the side benefit that the immersion factor goes up a few notches! i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
April 10, 201214 yr Author I've been thinking of getting EZCA, Paul, but I've heard horror stories of people getting it to work correctly and having to config this, config that, mess with this and that, that I'm scared to install it and have my system go bonkers! Though, they were pretty old threads and I think the support should be out there enough now so that I can take a crack at it.. what would you recommend? Ooh, totally missed that first reply, sorry Bert, I'll have to give that a try, thanks a bunch! R. Dawson
April 10, 201214 yr You can change it in the aircraft.cfg, in the [views] section. (Order is long, lat, vert; positive changes mean position forward, to the right, upward) Always remember to back it up(easiest way is // (two slashes) in front of the line you change). Florian
