April 18, 200422 yr Indeed, it will be payware soon, but as you said, money well spent. The freeware version is available in the library under:Dash 8 Q300 Update 1.004B (Download #37657) Dash 8Q-300 Aircraft Package v1.004 (Download #26699)The payware will be amazing, even more so than the original. A couple features will include a fully functional FMS with VNAV, Holding, etc., as well as a complete networked Failures/Instructors panel. WideFS not required.Kris
April 18, 200422 yr Kris, I run at 1280x960 to get proper aspect ratio. After I left that message I fired it up again and things are better with 19 inch monitor but still very hard to read. I'll drop by the forum and look around.Mike
April 18, 200422 yr Thanks for all the feedback guys! I have been using Fly!II for years and before that used FlightSim 95 and 5.0 (and Flight Sim II by Bruce Artwick). So I'm not a newbie when it comes to flying around! I am new to Flight Sim 2004 however, and I just downloaded the Dash-8 everyone has been raving about. I'm going to install it and read up on the checklists and see if this is the aircraft for me. Thanks again!!
April 18, 200422 yr For those who find Oleksy's panel hard to read, there was a modification posted some time ago (by Gord Noseworthy, I believe) that enlarged the various windows.I use it, but would I've mucked about with the panel so much that I've probably altered it beyond what is healthy. Perhaps someone else could post the mofified panel.cfg. It makes a world of difference, especially if you're just learning your way around the panel.BlairCYOW
