The base for such a addition to GA-Traffic is there, only problems are the detection of military airports and the usage of planes only by special countries. Last problem is solvable first one I didn't have a clue. Maybe the military parking spaces could be used, but didn't see any military parkings spaces in the default ones.

High Chris,what do you miss?The program is at BETA stage which means the features are set (most of them) and only bug fixing and other task are done. Currently I have no feature missing on my list. There are some bugs (?) and misunderstandable features which should be fixed, but no real feature is left out.So if you have a idea or found something you think is needed, please feel free to post it.One idea I have is a addition of military traffic, but this would be a new version of GA-Traffic and wouldn't be done in the near future.

Hi Markus,Well, the military thing was certainly one area that would be on my list for future enhancements. It would be nice to also choose helos and other speciality types when MSFS permits. My comments re: ongoing developments were primairly aimed at getting the thing more stable. It's brilliant for a Beta 1 and I congratulate you on your efforts.In respect of bugs, I am at present finding that everytime I try to modify an aircraft by either un checking one of the T B R S C P boxes or the Use GA box and accept the warning message, the app closes to the desk top. When I re-open the application, the changes have not stuck.FYI, my computer specs are listed below.Anyway it's still a great program and I am using it as is. Hi Chris,every plane you try to modify one of those settings result in a crash?What operating system did you use?Did you checked the 'path' in the 'Settings' tab?You describtion of the crash looks that GA-Traffic could not write the changed data to file. Did one of the *.dat files in the GA-Traffic directory change its date or size? Did you check they are not 'read only'?Strange bug, never reported before Try uninstalling and reinstalling to different directory too.

After you make the changes to the aircraft, press the "Apply" button. DO NOT press the "OK" button near the bottom of the page! If you do, then you exit the program and return to the desktop. The "OK" button is to be used once, when you have finished compiling your new flightplans. R-

This is a great program and fills a much needed gap in AI traffic. There is, however, still room for some improvement. For instance, I use my local airport and AITM to monitor the type of GA Flights that are generated by this program. The airport is a medium sized airport with two runways, one with ILS capabilities. Only one commercial airline (USAirways Express) flies into it with 5 daily flights scheduled and about 80 GA aircraft operations/day. There are 31 GA parking spots and two small gates in the AFCAD. When GA-Traffic generates the GA flightplans with GA percentage set to 100%, there are about 70 GA operations/day, which is right on. However, of those 70 operations, 16 of them are with a learjet 45, 56 are a beech baron, 2 Cessna 208B and the remainder is a Cessna 182S. There are 25 aircraft available (per landing fees) for inclusion in the flightplans, but only 4 are used. In addition, there are only two parking spots for the learjet, but the flightplan has 7 learjets scheduled to be parked at the airport at the same time, which makes them slip into the commercial spots or disappear when they land. Also, although there are 12 paints of the learjet, only 1 paint is used , so I end up seeing the same learjet at the airport all the time. In the same note, there are 7 paints of the baron, but with 56 flight operations, only 2 paints are used.Since the program reads the AFCAD files to determine the number of parking spots available, it would be nice if it also could "see" the raduis setting of the spots and then use that information to generate the number of aircraft parked at the airport at the same time. That would mean that the problem I encounter with the learjet would be solved. Also the program should use all the paints of the same aircraft equally. Finally there should be a greater variety of aircraft showing up at the airport, not just 4 out of 25.Two final "bugs" I noted. If you happen to hit the "Apply" button when nothing is selected, the program crashes. Also, if you alter any of the properties and hit "Apply" but don't generate a flightplan and then exit, when you restart the program, none of the changes you made were saved. They are only saved if a flightplan is generated.I am using the latest update (from 72335.zip).As I said, this is a great program and Markus Brunner deserves a huge thank you for developing it. Since it is a beta, I hope my comments are taken as constructive criticism and not complaints. GA-Traffic has so many fantastic features that it is destined to become one of the "needed" programs for Flight Simulator.

And where I can get the AFCAD2 file for it?GA-Traffic use the 'radius' settings to determine the size of useable planes for a particular airport. So there should be more small planes. One problem with the 'Bug fixed' version (72335.zip) was that I changed the parking space usage routine to use Mid and large parking spots for smaller planes too. This wasn't fully tested and I found that it isn't fully working like expected, I also found that only some of the liveries are used. Those porblems are currently under investigation and should be fixed in the next release. The first bug you noticed, pressing apply if nothing is selected, couldn't be reproduced at my PC, but I will look at it.The second bug, isn't fully clear for me. What 'properties' do you change? Do you mean in the planes Tab? If yes, I could reproduce the bug and will fix it.
