I have mentioned here and at the beta site the relative lack of sophistication of flights current art assets, and pointed out recently that they were competing directly with Orbx whether they wanted to or not.....

 

Those clouds, that kinda weird water (unless you are at eye level) and those uber-drab, oddly shiny grey buildings.............

 

Not to even mention the dated, sliced-off fsx tiles and truncated streets to nowhere........

 

Architecture-wise, they have even managed to out-drab XP10

 

They need more artists.

Well at least the original launch aircraft (except the P-51) look really nice! =)

This is a good sign. They wouldn't be hiring if sales weren't promising!

Agree. But I still want this inserted "incredible attention to detail, particularly in aircraft COCKPIT development"

Thanks Mark, but I'm not really qualified for that position. I'm more of a game element tweaker (making RPGs tougher) than an graphic's designer (certainly not an Art Lead).

 

I apologize for reiterating my compliments but following your posts on the Beta Flight forum it is pretty clear you could definitely lead those folks to the correct path. And sorry to say your skills and passion are leading qualities are light years ahead of the ones who claim to be qualified for doing that job.

 

I am just picturing MS analysing lot of CVs plenty of MS certifications and awards telling " I have been project leader here and there " or similar crap while simply reading their Beta forum it is extremely clear they already have the leader MS desperately needs and not only into the Art section.

 

Anyway, you are already doing a precious and classy job also here and it will be my task to be not always a kind guy here on the forum to give you some job to accomplish :P
