Some good info in here:

And I quote "The team responsible for creating the best civilian flying game franchise ever created (Microsoft Flight Simulator) are nurturing their newly released Flight title and trying to grow it into a huge array of scenery, mission and aircraft add-ons. They need someone to direct, organize and scale-up the art department. Are you that person?"

Had trouble getting this post to load, if it's in twice, can the moderators please kill the first one?

Cheaper if they just reuse models from Combat Flight Simulator.

Hey you beat me to the TurboSquid jab! I just mentioned that a few minutes ago myself. :LMAO:

LOL

So either..

A. They were completely and utterly unprepared and suddenly realized maybe they should hire someone to actually manage content creation.. (and from the history of things this doesn't seem unlikely at all)

or

B. Someone pulled a Peter Gibbons from Office Space

Looks like they could do with employing a copywriter too: Nice redundant use of created; is this the best copywriter MS could find?: 'The team responsible for creating the best civilian flying game franchise ever created'

civilian fling game, that's only releasing cockpitless military warbitds? Just add guns and call it cfs4 by now.

I do recall CFS3 had some cool planes, if you're looking to do some shooting, everything else about it was bland, though. They had the Ascender and a couple other experimental planes. Too bad you couldn't drag those into FS.

That remark is bout MS Flight Simulator and not MS Flight...!!! Even they themselves don't dare to call Flight "the best civilian flying game franchise ever".

Arwen would be the natural choice.

Arwen, please apply for that job, we will support you and finally Flight will become a classy piece of software.

Thx

There was a job post several months ago for a manager of DLC which mentioned managing third-party content. I thought that position was more telling then this one. I'm sure they are growing the staff as MSF grows. It all indicates that MSF has only just begun.

Thanks Mark, but I'm not really qualified for that position. I'm more of a game element tweaker (making RPGs tougher) than an graphic's designer (certainly not an Art Lead).
