Sealt Belt and Ext Power

Featured Replies

Hello,

Thanks for this great add-on.

I would like to ask a couple of things.

Would it be possible for the FO not to turn the seat belts sign off after takeoff? As at the moment I think that they are turned off a little too early.

Also could an startup option of EXT power only (without AC or AS) be added?

Many Thanks

Please log into your FS2Crew account via the FS2Crew website and download the most recent version. Also, the F/O seatbelt switch operation is correct as is, he does not turn them off anytime after takeoff as you said, he puts them in Auto.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I've just downloaded v1.3, but the Pwr/Air Source is the same - no Ext power only option (I've never seen the AC unit or Air Starter unit being used in real life - only the Ext power unit on its own).

The seat belt sign is turned to Auto by the FO, but when the flaps are up it turns the signs off. Shouldn't the FO ask the Capt if it is ok to turn the signs to auto?

Many Thanks

Hi,

On the FS2Crew config panel change the mode to APU/EXT before clicking "Run Pf", and if using it at the arrival gate set it before you land.

The gear must also be up for them to go off, This is an airline specific thing (altitude at which the seatbelt sign goes off/auto), and usually,..no,..the F/O does not ask permission to turn the seatbelt lights to auto.

Hi,

I've had a look at the config panel and the APU/EXT mode seems to be missing, I only have APU, EXT/AC and EXT/AS modes.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled v1.3 but the mode options are the same.

Many Thanks

APU/EXT is not available in the button version... it's in the Voice Control only.

Why?

Because I added it after the release as per a customer request and it was not technically possible to add to button control.

Voice control is much more flexible by contrast, and easier to implement new features after the fact.

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for info, I've just tried the Voice version.

The procedure at one airline I know is for the APU not to be started until about 10 min before pushback to save fuel. On stand the EXT power only is used.

Please could something similar to this be added to FS2 crew?

Ok thanks,

but could there be an EXT only (no AC or AS) option?

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok thanks,

but could there be an EXT only (no AC or AS) option?

I would like the same, option just to have the EXT power cart on it's own.
