April 25, 201214 yr Hi! I have a small question... I have just gotten my Samsung Galaxy Tab and I want to have my NGX checklists and such to read in the tab so i dont have to minimize FS to read... My problem is... in the Quick Reference Handbook... I cant navigate by pressing the topics in the list of contents(that aint possible in the original pdf file either) So my question is... How do you guys navigate in this document? I think its very hard to fint the appropriate page quickly... All suggestions are appreciated and suggestions that are applicable for a Android based Tab will leave me forever greatful;) /Niklas Eriksson Niklas Eriksson
April 26, 201214 yr Commercial Member Niklas, The indexed versions of the manuals with clickable links cost a ton more money from Boeing and we chose not to license them - it would have made the product significantly more expensive. If your PDF viewer app has a search function, that's probably the best way to get around it. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 26, 201214 yr Author I understand that, i found that its possible to make markings on every chapter, then i have a clickable link to each chapter,. Thats a suggestion for everyone wanting the qrh in their android tablet! /Niklas Eriksson Niklas Eriksson
April 26, 201214 yr Ryan, I could link the PDFs index with acrobat. (just to let the user jump quick into the wanted chapter) But that would only make sense that I could share this PDFs with others - best way would be this would be officially done by PMDG. Do you want me (allow me) to do this and make then this modified PDFs downloadable in a way? April 26, 201214 yr I dont think Boeing would be very happy about it if PMDG started distriibuting tampered with manuals... Niklas: I used to use two methods on my tablet - a) I "cut out" relevant parts of QRH by using a PDF printer sort of program on my computer, added any relevant charts, NOTAM etc. into a briefing package that I then loaded into the tablet. B) This app. I put my modified NGX checklist somewhere here on the forum. --Peter Fabian
April 26, 201214 yr Author Thanks Fabo:-) The thing is that I want the complete QRH so that I am "prepared" for any possible failures i might get, :) And I want to be able to find the appropriate checklist as quickly as possible, And so far i think that making "markings" (they appear in a separate table of contents in the android book-app" this makes so that I just have to slide through the table of contents and then go to my markers and click on the sector I want... Seems to work nicely:) Niklas Eriksson
