i am sorry but I dont understand your problem. Please try and be more specific, what buttons you used and when.

 

Regarding ILS capture... is the ILS present in simulator?

lets say the fmc is programmed and your vnav flying towards your destination.

you decide you want to hand fly from TOD . How do I turn off the A/P?

Set up a key or combination in the MCDU for AP disconnect button. Then you can press it, or assign it to your joy or yoke with FSUIPC or for ex. Saitek driver program.

 

Then just push the button to disconnect and again to silence the warning sound.

 

You can keep VNAV/LNAV active and follow the F/D guidance or use any other regime for F/D or turn the magic off altogether.
