May 12, 201214 yr I opened the flight plan you pasted above in RC4 and no crash occured. I don't have FSX so could not load a flight and start it as airport coordinates can be off between FS9 and FSX. All data was on the controller page as expected. You apparently pasted the rcv4.log which contained the .pln. One curious thing I noted is that the log specified your rcv4 path as: "A:\rcv4x\rcv4.exe" A: is restricted normally in Win to a floppy removable device. Where and what do you have RC installed on. Did you assign the drive letter A: to the drive it is on?
May 12, 201214 yr Author Yes A is my large drive with 2 Terrabytes and is only using FSX and all the addons for it my main C is only 80 gigs and is almost full and its an SSD.. So what could make this error appear on just my comp? Mattias Nordgren PRO-ATCX BETA TEAM
May 12, 201214 yr Moderator Yes A is my large drive with 2 Terrabytes and is only using FSX and all the addons for it my main C is only 80 gigs and is almost full and its an SSD.. So what could make this error appear on just my comp? If your C drive is almost full it sounds as though there isn't enough space for the page file. That would explain the out of memory problem. Try creating the page file on your other hard drive. Ray (Cheshire, England). May 12, 201214 yr Author No its not that its something else since i allready tried allocating memory and vice versa switching from drive A to C and vice versa nothing happens. On drive A i have 1.8 Tbytes available but neither that does the trick.. Mattias Nordgren PRO-ATCX BETA TEAM
May 12, 201214 yr Moderator Can you post a screenshot of Task Manager before and whilst FS is running. That might indicate where the problem is. For comparison here's mine on the PC shown below running XP 32-bit SP3 and with FS9 running. I appreciate FSX takes more memory but your numbers should help show where the problem is. May 12, 201214 yr Moderator Because we're running different versions of XP (32-bit versus 64-bit) our Task Manager displays are different. But it looks like you have enough memory. I'd like to know what your page file size is and whether it's fixed or left to Windows to adjust the size. Here are my settings. I have a 3Gb fixed page file. If you haven't got a fixed size I suggest you create a 24Gb fixed PF on your flight sim drive. Remember to reboot after making any changes. Ray (Cheshire, England). May 12, 201214 yr Moderator RC4 will run. There's something wrong with how your PC is configured. You could run this free utility which will give you a summary of your system including free RAM and virtual memory. http://www.piriform.com/speccy If you choose to run it click the RAM tab, check the 5 physical memory readings and report back. I suggest running it before loading FS and again with it running. Ray (Cheshire, England).
