Buying a New PC - Is This Enough?

Featured Replies

How about this set up?

Asking again: did you read the "READ BEFORE POSTING"?

Apparently you signed on the forum, asked your question without even bothering to search/read a little.

You are very welcome to AVSIM forums, but we do appreciate when a user at least tries.

RAM - no go

CPU - depends

GPU - questionable

PSU - questionable

Faster ram.

Why IB?

You want smooth fsx? Planing on overclocking? Where is 3rd party cooler?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Not planning to overclock as of now. The ram is not good enough? Do I need a 3rd party cooler if i don't overclock?

Well, you only said for "FSX". For a default FSX a dual core with mediocre GPU is enough. What addons are you planing on using?

Not planing to overclock for FSX is a bad idea in general. Correct: RAM is too slow.

Asking third time, why don't you read here:

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/370594-read-before-posting-software-hardware-guide-for-fsx/

Want to get FSX running OK, without much problems? Then you have to read that.

No.

I plan on running FSX with a few scenery add-onbs like FlyTampa FSDT and things like that.

get some 2x4GB 1600MHz RAM instead, the rest is fine

So you want high quality addons, you want FSX to perform well (no, I am not talking 50fps, that is virtually impossible in FSX on a long run, even on computers like mine or similar)...

You won't come aside overclocking.

Why IB and why PCIEx2 card?

I wouldn't go IB.

You can omit OC, get an IB, and later have temperature problems if you decide to OC.

I don't understand that sorry....

Why are you getting an Ivy Bridge processor over Sandy Bridge? Why not 2700K?

I think I'll let someone else answer this though. You apparently don't even care for reading my guide, which answers at least half of your questions.

More powerful....

More powerful....

OK........

Air France mon ami, if I were you I'll wait another 6 months < > before buying IB and a GPU, the board are not ready for the PCI-e 3.0, they will get better implementation, the GPU will also get a LOT better with the GTX 685, the rams will also get better.

Up to you if you have to have it now, it's your money....good luck.
