June 5, 201214 yr Author Спассибо, Rafal. Unfortunately, I had to delete this Belarusian Il-76 now because CTD occured again. Do you mean the 2011 version? It seems to me that there is not a big step from the 2011 to the 2012 version (in fact I realized none), but a giant leap from the 2008 to the 2011 version, especially regarding the area around the airport. There are some remarks on http://www.avsimrus....on=comments&hl= by a member named UASK-Fox which seem to be about the changes between 2011 and 2012 version, but I understand them too bad to be sure about that. I don't use AES, perhaps you find a sign of it's presence (or absence) in the video Ed "edetroit" has linked in post #2? Bye bye for today, it's time for backup and defrag now... June 5, 201214 yr Do you mean the 2011 version? Yes, indeed. I should have named it. I don't use AES, perhaps you find a sign of it's presence (or absence) in the video Ed "edetroit" has linked in post #2? I will check the video. Thanks for your tip. Have a good night!
June 6, 201214 yr Author Have a good night! Dzięnkuje Rafal, and good morning. So what happened after this: Searching for a compensation for my beloved Belarusian Il-76 I found a Russian Interior Ministry package. I installed it, one plane of them stood around at UNNT and - chapeau - CTD. I startet FS2004 and quit it many times and "slew around" hours at UNNT before without Il-76s at all and had no CTD so that I'm sure that this AI plane is the culprit, but possibly not only one texture. It seems that comprehensive test of every textures pack for this well modeled Il-76 is the only way to prevent CTDs. I don't think that the model itself is the problem, because at my "second home airport" UGTB I see lots of them every time without any problem (the only problem I have with UGTB is that I don't get my helipads for SBAI Mi-8 to work proper to have some helis of the Georgian Air Force at the sim...). June 6, 201214 yr I don't think that the model itself is the problem Yes, I've never heard of a model being the culprit. It is almost always the texture. If you haven't done it so far, you can check your aircraft with ACA 2005 and 2007. http://aifs2.pvdveen.net/?page_id=5 I don't have any AI Il-76's installed now, but I am planning to do so. Especially that I am plannig a several-stage A320 trip East (VIE-DME-SVX-OVB) I will certainly be careful to check how the Il's work.
June 6, 201214 yr Author you can check your aircraft with ACA 2005 and 2007 Thanks one more, will try that. Happy landings in Russia. I can't imagine these airports without any Il-76. At UNNT I observed up to four of them (2xRussian MChS, 224th Flight Unit, Alrosa-Mirny) at the same time (w/o CTD  ). As a GA pilot with an old DC-6 I mostly take a route more south (DRS-KBP-KRR-TBS-TAS or DYU-FRU), but especially at TBS and TAS the aprons are full of Il-76s. So she shouldn't be missing at your sim... In real life I will spent my vacations in Georgia this year so I can check if my AI flightplans are correct so far.
