Is there any way to cut the dep briefing short?

 

It's good, but it's long, and after half a dozen listens, I've heard it enough. Would be nice to be able to quit out of it, just like skipping a cutscene.

You can just skip it by not doing it, as far as I can tell there are no effects other than the FO saying are you sure when he asks Take off brief complete?

Thanks Keithy, I'll try that. I was assuming that if e.g. I changed any of the briefing parameters (e.g. t/o flaps), I'd need to run the briefing to make them effective. I'll try just changing them without playing the brief and see if that works.

Keithy is correct.

 

You can change the parameters and not play the brief.

 

If you don't play the brief, nothing bad will happen.

 

Only thing that will happen is that when the FO challenges you on the briefs in the checklist, the FO will say "Are you sure about that" when you reply completed.
