baytower rv7 - canopy transparency

Featured Replies

Hi, I was wondering if anyone may know how I can make the canopy completely transparent?

Are you talking about the tip-up canopy? If so, I've been trying to make it so that there are more reflections. As it stands it looks as if there's no glass in there at all!

Hey Ron

No, it's the slider. For some reason, and it might be my driver or settings, but it really seems really foggy inside the cockpit. I had been flying the Legacy for the last week or so and hopped in the RV and it just did not seem right. Just thought I would try a clear canopy if possible.

Foggy eh? That's an odd one. Is this right from loading it? Even the the slider's reflections aren't all that obtrusive, in fact I'd go as far as to say they are too clear as well. Thought! Is this on all paints or a specific paint?

I am wondering if SHADE might be playing a role in this as I did change the theme while test hopping the legacy. I will fiddle a bit.

it is on 3 of the paints so assuming the rest. I will rebuild the cache too.

I've got the purple tint when it rains, that's my only complaint with it...

Reinstalled the RV and all is back to normal. Go figure.

What other program could give you so much pleasure in so many different ways?

I sure would like to see more planes give you the choice of clear or tinted canopies. We know it can be done as RealAir has proved. How about a fix or addon done by Baytower to give us this choice. I sure love my RV7, especially with all of the wonderful repaints.
