June 14, 201213 yr Author Well the second flight I did ended up going pretty well. I was lined up to the approach by the route I had set but the auto-land wasn't as planned. It still landed itself, but the Appr did not engage. I had the ILS set, CRS set. So how did it land itself with none of the navigation settings engaged? No appr, vnav, lnav or vor loc. June 14, 201213 yr Thats weird. It def shouldnt happen. I'm guessing you somehow actually had appr armed without knowing about it. Or something like that. I'm not a big expert on autoland, infact, I have never done an autoland in the NGX, and it have been years since I've done one in any plane. I recommend never using it, instead flying the plane yourself. Johan Pettersen

June 14, 201213 yr Author Well I am just doing it for practice for the landing when I need to, but it definitely was not armed. No light on the button and I had single ch on the pfd and both fd's were active. A/p on, a/t on and speed armed. That was it I think. Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society.
