June 23, 201213 yr I just wonder how they will merge the 3 groups of pilots. Alex Jevdic --- KORD A<380-----Love at first flight
June 23, 201213 yr US Airways has officially said that they would keep the American Airlines name and move to Dallas according to my union officer who negotiated the agreement with them. Nobody has officially said anything about a merger livery though. There are still some big hurdles that have to be cleared before they can make a takeover bid and it's my hunch that American management might have some post bankruptcy merger plans of its own. As far as the a300s I talked to a Tulsa Tech guy about it years ago. Originally Airbus didn't want to let us leave them unpainted so they painted all but one grey. They left the one unpainted for a test period which it eventually passed to Airbuses satisfaction. So they then stripped the grey paint off of all the other planes. So in the end they were bare aluminum, not just painted silver. It will be interesting to see what livery the company comes up with. It will be weird to change a livery that has been around for 41 years. Tom Landry

June 23, 201213 yr Author this post was meant to see if someone could paint us the -700 and -900 in the AA livery. It wasn't meant to discuss whether the AA livery would survive a US airways merger. It seems like every post I make somehow gets off track. Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major

It seems like every post I make somehow gets off track. That's typical of many posts especially when the original question has already been answered.
