I just wanted to know if PMDG would be adding their ground vehicles to the 747v2? Also, I wanted to ask if PMDG recomment Aerosoft or FSDT for their 3rd party ground support software?

 

What do you guys like to use?

Which ground vehicles are you referring to? If you mean GSX or AES type ground service vehicles (baggage, catering etc), absolutely not - that is not our area of expertise. Ground power, ground air etc like the NGX has though - definitely.

I was referring to the stairs, cargo loaders ect from the 747v1. The NGX has the group power and all those attachments. I was curious if the 747v2 would have any stock ground vehicles?

I think i will purchase it when i get home tonight, but i have 1 question - it says its free at FSDT airports, but what about other airports, like LEMG (Malaga, Spain) for instance - do i have to pay an extra fee for it to work there?

No no no. It works at ANY airport. I think this credit thing is for AES, but I've never used it so I don't know.

 

GSX reads the AFCAD for the airport you're in, so when you pushback, it is completely accurate. You can use it at any airport you want, with any aircraft. (However, it works beautifully with the NGX...)

So I bought GSX, but when i put in my serial and confirm i want to register it, i get an error message that says "eSellerate Fatal Error"

 

any ideas?? I emailed them and im waiting to hear back

Inside of FSX, with the addon manager open - i click on buy on web - it made me minimize fsx and go to the site. it linked me to the fsdt site and i did everything there, then i sent me the serial number - i put it in and i get that message

It was my firewall - i deactivate it to install GSX and WWWWWOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

 

it is amazing! I have been using AES for a long time, so i dont want to say anything bad about them, but they really need to upgrade. GSX is incredible.

The only thing I prefer with ASE is that they control the jet bridge so they are parked in a more realistic manner vs raised up all the way and facing forward (such as in FSDT ORD) but otherwise GSX is king.

I agree with that. I have FSDT JFK and for some reason the jet bridges don't work at all. I can't get them to come out to my plane. I push CTRL J but nothing happens.

 

Any advice??

Glad you got it working, Alex. I can't help you with the KJFK issue, though. :(
